Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell
Growing up in Manhattan absolutely molded me in to the person I am today. My family was not made of money, and we did not live on the Upper East Side, but my parents firmly believed that living in such a culturally diverse city, with access to plays, museums, and the orchestra was worth a little bit of financial hardship. I wholeheartedly agree. I can’t imagine growing up anywhere else, and I knew after graduation that there was no way I was leaving New York for a more affordable city. That said, I knew I’d have to be wise about where I lived and how I spent my money. I moved in with three friends from school into a ridiculously tiny apartment in Brooklyn, and we don’t have a ton of expendable income. We are very conscious of where every penny goes, and we cut costs wherever we can. Fortunately, being a native New Yorker, I knew that our state is deregulated. That means we have the opportunity to select energy providers based on who offers the cheapest rate. You can check out New York Energy Rates and choose whichever provider offers the most affordable option. It’s a great way to save a little money so you can still afford to take advantage of everything New York has to offer.
